I am an expert on the empirics of economic growth and macroeconomic development strategies.
Prior to my current role at UNDP, I was an associate professor at the University of Groningen and at Webster Vienna Private University (currently on leave). I have also been a regular consultant for the World Bank, a visiting researcher at Statistics Netherlands (CBS), and I am a research fellow at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw) and a fellow at the Global Labor Organization.
My research contributed to the Horizon Europe Twin Seeds project and I managed a NWO research project on export quality in global value chains.
